Another diorama depicts the time when President Soeharto was invited by the FAO to Rome in 1985 to obtain an award for reaching meals self-sufficiency. This occasion was museumbangkabelitung.org adopted on July 21, 1986, on the Binagraha constructing in Jakarta, when Soeharto hosted the Director General of the FAO, Edward Saouma, and formally accepted the gold medal from the FAO (Pour et al., 2014). In addition to the special collections displayed within the glass circumstances, the museum displays different memorabilia of the presidents in vitrine cupboards. However, being displayed in both a glass case or a vitrine, they’re introduced using lighting that permits visitors to gaze unimpeded. In addition, the lighting can also be helpful for maximizing the collection’s charisma.

The wooden is soft and pulpy and no special diversifications to claws would be essential for the job. But in addition to entrance claws, the squirrel could rely upon its large and strong incisors, particularly the procumbent uppers (see fig. 6) to dig into the decaying wood. Also, the podium, relatively long compared with the comparatively very quick rostrum of the other species of Sulawesi tree squirrels, could comprise a larger area of nasal epithelium offering the enhanced olfactory acuity necessary for detecting bugs in decaying wooden.

These shadow puppets lend an unique insight into the native theatrical scene. A lone hornbill left the fig and flew high over the lake, its noisy barking honks and loud whooshing produced by the sluggish beating of its wings resonated in the tropical air. The chook was quietly changed by a second squirrel arriving on the fig from an adjacent magnolia, its presence marked solely by the arcing branch and rustle of leaves within the canopy. Results from analyses of future collections of sucking lice from Indomalayan sciurids will be used to test and refine a number of the hypotheses presented here. Longer than wide with broadly rounded anterior apex; 2 SuHS, four DMHS (displaced medially in some specimens as in fig. 58A), 1 DAnCHS, 1 DPoCHS, 1 SpAtHS, 1 DPaHS, 2DAnHS, 1 ApHS, 1–2 AnMHS, 1–2 OrS, and 1 VPHS on all sides; DPHS moderate in length, simply extending to degree of thoracic spiracle with 1 DAcHS medial to DPHS. Antenna 5-segmented with basal segment wider than second phase, about as broad as long.

Scores representing the 4 specimens from Pegunungan Latimojong fall between these from Musser’s transect and the series from Pegunungan Takolekaju. This is considerably stunning because Pegunungan Takolekaju lies between the highlands along Musser’s transect and Pegunungan Latimojong, which is on the southern end of the mountains forming the western part of Sulawesi’s central core (see map in fig. 35). Our evaluation reveals variation in sure cranial dimensions among the three primary geographic samples—Gunung Kanino + Gunung Nokilalaki, Pegunungan Latimojong, and Pegunungan Takolekaju—with these from Musser’s transect exhibiting the smaller skulls and people from Pegunungan Takolekaju the largest. Does the variation in cranial and dental measurements amongst present samples merely mirror geographic variation due to differing intensities of gene circulate among populations, or point to the Takolekaju pattern as representing a population genetically isolated—or almost so—from the other montane populations of floor squirrels? Heinrichi, we might expect some morphometric variation from place to place, especially among highlands supporting montane forest habitats which are separated by main river valleys or lowland evergreen rain-forest habitats.
Musser never encountered the 2 species in the identical trapline. The spatial relationship is roughly portrayed on the inset map exhibiting the distribution of collection sites for every species (see fig. 35). The Tokararu originates under the summit of Nokilalaki, flows right into a deep ravine alongside the northwestern margin of Gunung Kanino to cross via the cleft between the two ridges, and ultimately empties into the waters of Danau Lindu. Musser worked on the highest and upper sides of the Kanino ridge, on up to the summit of Nokilalaki on the jap facet of the Sungai Tokararu, and along the Tokararu stream at decrease altitudes the place it flowed alongside the Kanino ridge.
Known only from the five collections listed above, all from Rubrisciurus rubriventer. Rubriventer throughout its geographic and altitudinal ranges (see fig. 11 and table 4). Male and allotype female ex male Rubrisciurus rubriventer (AMNH ; Rodentia, Sciuridae, Nannosciurinae, Nannosciurini, Hyosciurina) collected by G.G. Musser at 4960 ft (1512 m) on Gunung Kanino (1°17′S, 120°08′E; see gazetteer and fig. 5), Propinsi Sulawesi Tengah, Indonesia, on 31 January 1975.
We realized that President Theodore Roosevelt collected numerous the gathering’s leaf-monkeys (among other animals) on a collection journey shortly after his time in workplace. I was discussing expeditions with Collections Manager Darrin Lunde, and he informed me that most of the samples collected by John Steinbeck (described in his incredible e-book, “The Log from the Sea of Cortez”) have been situated on the identical flooring as the gathering where we were working. In biogeographical terms, Gorontalo is part of Wallacea, the transitional zone between the Asian, or Oriental (Paleotropical), and Australian (Notogaean) faunal realms.
